Most of our customers’ sites are really slow, taking 5 to 10+ seconds to load and we bring them down to 1 to 3 seconds. But another chunk of our customers already have a fast site and they want us to squeeze out every last bit of speed possible.

Depending on which plan you take (and how complicated your site is) it can be anywhere from 3 to 10 business days.

You have the option to expedite any of the optimization packages at checkout.

We have strict fail-safe procedures to prevent any issues from arising on your live site.

We make a full backup before and after our optimization to restore your site quickly in the rare event that an issue arises.

This depends on a few things:

• What hosting you have (we recommend the same hosting we use, Cloudways, as it’s lightning fast and very affordable)
• If you have WooCommerce or membership functionality on your site
• If you have a really bad theme or plugin (this rarely keeps us from hitting our speed targets but it can)

A typical site with the hare package will be around 3 seconds, the Gazelle will be between 1 and 2 seconds, and Cheetah is 1 second or less.

Probably not…

It doesn’t really matter what score or % you get on Google PageSpeed Insights, Pingdom, GTMetrix etc.

What does matter? How fast your site loads for your visitors.

This isn’t as correlated with your score on these sites as most people assume.

Take a look at our customer results and you’ll notice the scores are not 100 but the sites load very fast. To read a more technical explanation of why these tests don’t matter see our explanation of our real world approach.

Often times we’ll see sites that load in half a second score only 70-75%. At the same time, we’ve seen sites scoring in the 90’s that take 17 seconds to load.

We generally use Pingdom for our speed testing as it’s the most accurate. GTMetrix and PageSpeed Insights will give you numbers that make your site look slower than it really is. Especially Google’s mobile speed.

This is because Google’s tool is more of a technical checklist for developers than an indication of how fast your site is loading for users. If you want to score well on these sites you basically need to strip your site of its marketing tools (and not actually get a faster website)

To say it again, our service is not a perfect 100 PageSpeed service. Our service makes your site fast for users — the metric that makes your marketing better.

The only thing we will do is make your website faster. However, part of our service is that we make recommendations that you change parts of your site or services you use that are slowing down your site.

However they’re totally optional if you want to maximize your speed.

We measure site speed with Pingdom. It gives the most accurate real-world speed results.

There are other accurate tools as well – IF you know how to read them properly. Most people do not understand these tools so we stick with Pingdom.

If you have a slow or way outdated theme we don’t change it or update it (this can cause an avalanche of problems that are way beyond the scope of our service) and we don’t set up new plugins like CRM, contact forms, popup forms, etc — besides of course speed related plugins that we install.

WooCommerce is an incredible platform that many great businesses are built on. With that said, it’s very resource intensive and requires diving into the depths of the database to properly optimize.

For this reason we only optimize WooCommerce on the Gazelle and Cheetah packages. You can still get a Hare package but it’s not recommended because you’ll get so much more for your money with the advanced packages.

• Login details for WordPress admin
• Login details for hosting or FTP credentials
